How long does it usually take to make it OFF the waitlist?

There is no set time or even average time. Ben Lomond has a strict membership quantity cap. This ensures that paying members get the experience everyone deserves when visiting the club. It limits wait times and keeps the range from being overcrowded and inaccessible. Each year members move on from the club. They either are not utilizing the range like they wanted or life has moved them away from Colorado or the region. At this point the club is able to evaluate how many spots are available. This can be anywhere form 20-50 spots depending on the year. That being said if you are person 100 on the waitlist it could mean a one to two year wait or a four to five year wait. It all depends on the members coming and going.

How does the waitlist work?

Once on the waitlist you will be there anywhere from one to a few years depending on the churn of the membership. You will know that you came OFF the list a few different ways. The first is that you will receive an email that is first come first serve with an invite. This is sent to a batch of the oldest waitlist users. At this point you will pay your non-refundable initiation fee and the full first year of your membership. You then receive an invite to the mandatory on-site safety course. Once passed you will be given your gate card and code, member ID, badge, etc. You will also gain full member access to the website.

How does recurring automatic payments work?

Once you have your automatic payments set up each year you will receive a reminder letting you know that your card will be charged in X days. At that point if you would like to cancel you can do so. If you don't then you will do nothing and your membership will be auto renewed.

Do I have to be a member to be able to compete in club sanctioned competitions?

Non-members can still participate in many of the club sanctioned competitions that are put on by Ben Lomond Gun Club. The only difference between members and non-members is access to the range for practice on their own without safety officer oversight. Check out the calendar of events and points of contacts if you are interested in competing as a non-member. We would love to have you!
